Lead by her faith, and her belief in the inherent value of all people, Sydney seeks to tell stories that dignify underrepresented voices and perspectives.

In her current role as an associate producer for NBC News NOW, Sydney pitches new ideas, books fresh voices and produces live hits, covering international, business, tech and pop culture headlines.

Sydney is also the creator and lead producer for an original Gen-Z series at NBC called Making Wavez. She works with award-winning anchor and correspondent Savannah Sellers to highlight young, innovative minds who are shaking up the culture.

Sydney earned her B.A. in English from Spelman College (c/o 2020) and her M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University (c/o 2021).
